Have a barbecue summer
Turn long summer evenings into a party with a barbecue.
Calculate the size of barbecue you'll need from the number of people you expect to entertain. You'll feed up to four people from a cooking area of up to 1800 cm², while for 6 people you'll need between 2000 cm² and 2,500cm². More than eight requires the largest gas barbecues. In our garden centre we also have a range of accessories for larger parties including griddles and warming racks to keep food warm.
Charcoal barbecues are traditional and easy to light, though allow about 45 minutes before you start cooking to let the charcoal heat up properly. 'Kettle' types come with a lid you can use for braising or roasting.
Gas-powered models are quick and convenient, with push-button ignition letting you start cooking within ten minutes. Multiple burners let you cook different foods at different temperatures: other cooking features include side burners for sauces and warming racks for keeping surplus food piping hot till it's needed.
Please ask a member of the Lakeside team for more information and advice about choosing the barbecue that's right for you.
