Cooking in the garden

Outdoor cooking is the very latest in garden trends and we've got a great range of garden cooking facilities to help you spend every balmy summer evening eating under the stars.

Simple clay ovens or chimineas, stylish firepits or sophisticated state-of-the-art outdoor kitchens are all perfect for eating out every night. Give your outdoor oven its own space with a designated seating area on a hard standing such as a patio or terrace. If you can, site your fruit vegetable garden close by for super-fresh food cooked seconds from being picked.

It's especially important to harvest salads and herbs fresh so they don't lose any of that just-picked crispness. and we have a great range to choose from in our garden centre for planting generously in containers dotted around the seating area. You could even grow salads on the table itself as a pretty edible centrepiece. And a pergola or arbour over the top not only helps shelter you from the sun: it acts as a support for your pudding if you clothe it in climbing grapes or kiwi fruit, both available in our garden centre.
